During the height of the pandemic cycling boom, we partnered with Leisure Lakes Bikes to grow revenue and help the retailer edge past the competition in a crowded market.
Leisure Lakes Bikes is an established retailer specialising in the sale and rental of bikes. The company has 11 stores across the UK and lives and breathes its family-run ethos. Using unique data sets, we produced relevant, entertaining content to make the most of the increased interest in cycling and shift Leisure Lake Bikes' Google ranking for its core product from 26th up to 4th in the UK.

With the increased demand around cycling comes increased competition. To make sure Leisure Lakes Bikes would be on the first page of Google search results for non-brand, high-volume searches such as 'mountain bikes' and 'electric bikes', we needed to generate relevant and high-quality backlinks.

We produced a series of timely, engaging content that would place Leisure Lakes Bikes on leading publication websites.
To begin, we collated the search data on over 2,600 cycling-related terms by region, creating unique data sets based on trending topics that we could turn into relevant content. Through our established network of journalists, we targeted publications with high domain authorities and generated 89 high quality backlinks.
Leisure Lakes Bikes blew past it's yearly revenue target of £4.8 million and delivered £6.39 million, £5.3 million of which came from non-homepage traffic.
